Local Scholarships
DDFaith Foundation Scholarship Program - Application is open and closes 3/14/25. The DDFaith Foundation was founded in 2015 in memory of Deanna "Dee Dee" Duduit by her family. Dee Dee passed away on February 4, 2015, but left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She displayed a mountain moving faith in her daily life. The DDFaith Foundation is set out to acknowledge those who display the same mountain moving faith within their own life, among their peers, and at school.

Southeast Region Education Book Grant (Paul D. Mock Memorial Book Grant) - Two $500 education book grants are being awarded to graduating high school seniors in the Southeast Region whose school district is a member of the Ohio School Boards Association. To be eligible for this education book grant, the applicant must:
Be majoring in or planning to major in education or work with children at an accredited college or university, career-technical school or technical college in the state of Ohio
Possess a minimum of 3.00 or higher grade point average (GPA)
Demonstrate potential as an educational leader, as evidenced through the submission of:
a current transcript
two letters of recommendation (one from a teacher and one from another community member)
a listing of participation in leadership positions, extracurricular activities and community involvement
a one-page essay

The deadline to complete and return your application to the address on the application by postal mail or email dwest@ohioschoolboards.org is December 1, 2024. If mailing, it must be postmarked by December 1, 2024.
Scioto Foundation -The 2025 application will be available on November 1, 2024, and closes February 12, 2025, at 5 P.M. All required letters of recommendation must be received online before 5 P.M. on February 16, 2025.
Must apply online. Please review the required items needed with application by deadline.
Atomic Credit Union Scholarship - Scholarships in the amount of $500 will be awarded and disbursed among participating student-run high schools. Additionally, two scholarships in the amount of $500 will be awarded to membership at large. Application is available and closes 6 P.M. ET on Friday, March 28, 2025.
Hard copy of application is available in Guidance Office and online at www.atomiccu.com. The applicant must be a 2025 graduating senior of a high school or technical school and have plans to enroll or be currently enrolled in an accredited school of higher education as a full-time student in the summer or fall of 2025. The applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. The applicant must be a current member of Atomic Credit Union with the account being opened no later than December 31, 2024.
The following must be submitted in an large manila envelope and received at any of the office locations no later than 6:00 P.M. on Friday, March 28, 2025:

Official 7th semester transcript, which lists accumulative GPA
Official ACT or SAT results listed on transcript of grades, and rank in class
Handwritten essay, 200 words maximum, on the following question: How has financial literacy played a role in your life so far, and how do you plan to apply these skills as you transition into adulthood? *Handwriting must be legible

2025 PHADA Scholarship -Since 1985, PHADA has recognized and rewarded academic excellence in public and assisted housing youth through its scholarship program. In order to encourage academic excellence and community responsibility among high school students, PHADA has implemented a scholarship program for graduating seniors who are preparing to enter college. In 2025, PHADA will proudly award three scholarships to deserving high school seniors residing in public and assisted housing (residents must live in PHADA-member agencies).
All applications and supporting documents are due in the PHADA office by January 24, 2025, Close of Business. No Exceptions. Faxes are NOT accepted.
Eligibility includes:
Status - Applicant must be a high school senior and reside in a PHADA member agency owned or managed unit throughout his/her entire senior year. Public housing residents, Section 8 participants or other low-income housing residents are eligible, as long as the agency at which they reside is a PHADA member.
Minimum Grade Point Average - Student must have a least a "B" average (or 3.0 GPA) on his/her school's applicable scale during his/her high school career, cumulatively, to be considered for the scholarship. Note: school counselor must complete the Grade Point Average Verification form on the verification page of this application.

Stewart Family Scholarship through Blue Grass Community Foundation - The Stewart Family Scholarship was established at Blue Grass Community Foundation to provide higher education opportunities for students in the Ashland, KY area. The scholarship provides a renewable award of $2,000 per/ year.
Criteria includes:
Recipient must reside in the Kentucky counties of Boyd, Carter, Greenup, Lawrence, or within Scioto County or Lawrence County, Ohio
Recipient must have a minimum of cumulative GPA of 2.5
Recipient must demonstrate outstanding character as evidenced by work ethic and service to others
Recipient must plan to attend an accredited two-or-four- year college, university, or technical school and enroll full-time
Recipient must demonstrate financial need
Renewal Eligibility:
Scholarship is available to renew for up to four years of undergraduate study, as well as up to two additional consecutive years of graduate study
To be eligible for renewal, recipient must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50.

Scioto County 4-H Scholarship - Application is open and closes 1/27/25. The Scioto County 4-H Committee will provide scholarships of up to $1,000 for graduating seniors in any major, attending any college. Please follow the criteria and instructions on page 1 of application carefully.

Ohio Township Association Scholarship - Application is open & closes 1/31/25. Up to five high school seniors will be awarded $1,500 for future education. Applicant must attend at least one official meeting of township officials and complete the attendance form with two elected officials signatures. You may choose to complete the following options: Academic Achievement, Local Government Achievement, and Trade School Scholarship.

NHS Scholarship - Application opens 9/16/24 and submission deadline is 11/26/24 at 5 P.M. ET.

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship - Application opens 10/15/24 and submission deadline is 1/3/25 11:59 A.M. PST. The program offers college scholarships of up to $40,000 for high school seniors nationwide who showcase leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship.

The Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of Ohio Scholarship - Application is open & deadline is 3/1/25. Scholarships from the Grand Lodge of Ohio Charitable Foundation are distributed to young men and women throughout Ohio’s twenty-five masonic districts. The recipient must be a graduating high school senior. Applicants do not need to be related to an Ohio Freemason to be considered.

Bold.org - This is an online scholarship provider. There are several scholarships listed with various deadline dates.
Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters Scholarship Program - Application must be received prior to Friday, March 21, 2025. Each year, the regional council opens forty $1,000 scholarships. Scholarships will be awarded in 2025 to eligible member’s dependent children. Twenty of the scholarships are awarded based on scholastics, and twenty others via a random drawing.

Ohio Society Daughters of the American Revolution Wings of Eagles Scholarship - Awards of $1,000 each are available based on academic excellence and character. Required documents needed include: 1) Letter from sponsoring chapter, 2) Official certified high school transcript, 3) essay of 500 words or less on topic stated on application, 4) a statement of 200 words or less describing what makes you an outstanding candidate for the scholarship, 5) a list of extracurricular activities, honors received, scholastic achievements, or other significant accomplishments, 6) dated and signed letters of recommendations from at least three but not four people in authority from the high school or college the applicant currently attends, who are familiar with the applicant's work, 7) proof of U.S. Citizenship.

National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Scholarship Opportunities - each scholarship opportunity has its own individual criteria and may require specific documents to be uploaded into your application.

Ohio JCI Senate Charitable & Education Foundation - Application is Open & Closes 1/17/25. There are three categories to choose from:
Academic-Based
Need-Based
Vocational/Trade School-Based
There are two separate applications available. One for College/University and the other for Vocational. Make sure you complete the appropriate application. Hard copy of College/University application is available in Guidance Office. Your application must be postmarked no later than January 17, 2025 to the State Scholarship Chairman at address indicated on application.
Ohio Association of Public School Employees (OAPSE/AFSCME) Memorial Scholarship - Application is available for seniors whose parent/legal guardian is a member in good standing of the Ohio Association of Public School Employees, AFSCME Local 4, AFL-CIO (OAPSE/AFSCME). Under the program, scholarships of $2,500 each are awarded to at least one winner from each of the ten (10) OAPSE Districts selected from the applicants who meet the eligibility requirements.

National FFA Scholarship 2024-2025 (must be a FFA Member) - Whether you are pursuing a trade school, vocational certificate or a two-year or four-year degree, don’t miss your chance to apply for a National FFA Scholarship to help with your next steps in education. If you are a senior FFA member in high school or FFA Alumni in college, just one application is required for multiple scholarship opportunities totaling nearly $2.5 million.
ALL scholarship applicants must:
be a high school senior or college freshman, sophomore, junior or senior.
be less than 23 years of age at the time of submitting the application.
be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
plan to attend post-secondary school in the U.S.
be a full-time student who is actively attending classes.
must be a FFA Member

American Legion Auxiliary of Ohio Scholarship (Department President's Scholarship) - One scholarship is awarded annually of $1,500. One scholarship of $1,000 is awarded to the second-place scholarship applicant. Please read instructions carefully, and applicant must meet criteria listed on application. There are letters of recommendation and essay involved along with other requirements. Deadline for applications with supporting documents to be received by March 15, 2025 to the address listed on the application.
